AniKA Major and her clay scale at RCC, @anikamajor
About the Instructor:
Taught by Anika Major (she/her)
Anika Major is the Studio Manager at Rain City Clay and was an assistant for a couple of years at RCS. She keeps the wheels turning at the studio through fostering studio flow, developing her own body of work, and teaching clay classes in the Seattle area. Her functional ceramics are thrown, handbuilt, and altered to imitate the human body. Anika also explores narrative themes of domestic comfort and femininity with painterly surfaces using underglaze and sgraffito. Outside of the studio, she enjoys tending her garden, roller skating, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and learning how to quilt.
