3rd Annual RCC Cup Show at Jellyfish Brewing Co.

YOU ARE INVITED!

Rain City Clay is excited to facilitate a community cup exhibition at Jellyfish Brewing Company in May 2026. This marks our third year presenting the cup show at this location, and we’re thrilled to formally invite you to participate.

Students, members, and staff of RCC and Rat City Studios are all welcome to submit work. Our goal is to showcase the wide range of clay practices and voices within our community.

The exhibition will be on view throughout May and this year we’re especially excited to pair the show with two additional events, creating even more opportunities to connect, celebrate, and get to know Rain City Clay.

We hope this exhibition continues as an annual tradition—growing in scale, participation, and creative energy in the years to come.

Participation Information

Any type of cup is welcome: We encourage tumblers, cups, or mugs with handles. No sets, please.

Display: Please submit cups that will fit within a 5.5” x 5.5” space.
If your cup does not fit, it will not be displayed.
Each participant may submit 1-10 cups.

Quality matters: This is your time to shine! Please inspect your cups carefully for cracks, chips, sharp bits, glaze flaws, stuck-on kiln wash, and poor handle attachment. We will not display cups that arrive with the above issues. Cups need to be functional to participate in the show.

Drop off your cups:
We are only accepting cups that are dropped off in person.
Do not mail your cups.

Buying Cups: This will be a cash-and-carry local show. Cups will not be shipped.

Artist Payment: This will happen via direct deposit using Melio by July 1st. You will be required to offer bank account information to be paid. (Sales will be split: Rain City Clay 35%, Artists receive 65%)


Participation Deadlines / Timeline:

Firing Deadlines for RCC / RCS Participants

  • RCC Participants: plan for these bisque & glaze firings
    (work needs to be on designated carts by the end of the dates below)

    • Friday, March 6th: Last RCC Winter Session Bisque firing

    • Friday, March 13th: Last RCC Winter Session Glaze firing

    • There are no guaranteed Spring Session glaze firings before the drop-off deadline!

  • RCS studio members or Firing Service Participants: plan for these bisque & glaze firings (work needs to be on designated carts by the end of the day)

    • Sunday, March 1st: Bisque firing

    • Sunday, March 15th: Glaze (final GUARANTEED RCS Glaze firing before drop-off deadline)

    • Sunday, April 5th: Bisque firing**

    • ** There are no guaranteed glaze firings between April 5th and the drop-off deadline!

Sunday March 29th - Drop off begins. Participants may begin submitting their participation forms, dropping off cups, and emailing in their completed inventories to info@raincityclay.com. (it helps us to get submissions early!)

Sunday, April 19th by 8pm - Hard & FINAL drop-off deadline. Participation forms and inventory forms must be submitted and emailed by this date!

Wednesday, May 6th - Show is installed at Jellyfish Brewing Co. & Show is open to the public

Saturday May 9th from 2-5pm - Opening Reception!

Monday, June 1st - Staff takes down the show.

Inventory Details

Inventories and participation forms must be submitted by time of cup drop off, and we ask that you please check in with an RCC staff person to confirm drop off and pickup before and after the show.

Download the inventory form below and fill it out according to the instructions on the document. Please save the form as a .xlsx Excel document and email it to info@raincityclay.com before you drop off your cups. Fill out the form in Excel, Sheets, Numbers, etc.

Inventory Sticker Details

ALL CUPS MUST BE FOR SALE
Each cup must be at least $25

Each cup *** MUST INCLUDE *** Two stickers
~ 1st sticker = First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name
~ 2nd sticker = inventory number & price.
Inventory number must include 3 initials (ex: HHR001, HHR002, etc)
**If you do not have a middle initial, use your first name initial as your middle initial
(ex: Hayley Reed, HHR)

Use stickers intended for pricing work. NO post-it notes taped on, No masking tape, please! Recommended stickers: (Click Here)
Legibly write on your stickers or use the compatible Avery template to print onto your stickers.

They do not have to be these exact stickers, just similar in size and quality. The inventory numbers on your cups and your inventory sheet must match!

If your inventory sheets are not accurate, we will not be able to show your artwork.
If the stickers do not stick well, please use clear tape over them.

DROP-OFF/Pick up at Rain City Clay

Drop off cups and submit your participation form, and inventory form between Sunday, March 29th, and Sunday, April 19th, 2026. (Plan 15-20 minutes to drop off and go over your inventory with a staff person)

The FINAL deadline Sunday April 19th, 2026, 8pm

When you drop off your cups, you will follow these steps:

  • We will have the inventory you emailed ready to review with you.

  • You will unpack your cups and go over your inventory with a staff person

  • The artist must drop off and pick up their cups within designated days/ times.

  • You must take all your packaging materials/ boxes home with you.
    Bring them back for repacking at the end of the show.

PICK UP unsold cups at Rain City Clay

PICK UP - Wednesday, June 5th-7th (Plan 5 minutes)

  • Pick up unsold cups from RCC

  • Check in with the staff person working.

  • If your cups are not picked up by the date requested, we reserve the right to donate them or absorb them into the studio collection.

  • We will not mail cups back to artists.

  • You may have a friend pick up if you have a scheduling conflict.
