Try Clay All-Ages Event
Sunday, May 10th: 12:30-3:30pm
Youth and adults of all ages are invited to play with clay during the Rain City Clay Cup Show at Jellyfish Brewing Company! This free, all-ages event welcomes individuals, couples, friends, and parents creating alongside youth to experience the joy of working with clay together.
Participants are encouraged to explore, experiment, and get their hands dirty with guidance from one of Rain City Clay’s talented instructors. This is a relaxed, welcoming introduction to clay that centers process, curiosity, and shared making.
Parents and guardians are required to remain with their children for the duration of the event. Please note: No pottery will be fired. This experience is about play and discovery rather than finished pieces. All clay and tools will be provided. We recommend wearing clothes that can get messy.
RCC cup Show @ Jellyfish
Rain City Clay is excited to present a community cup exhibition at Jellyfish Brewing Company in May 2025. Now in its third year at this location, the Cup Show celebrates functional ceramics and the many hands that make up our clay community.
Featuring work by students, members, and staff from Rain City Clay and Rat City Studios, the exhibition highlights a wide range of styles, voices, and approaches to making cups—one of the most intimate and beloved ceramic forms.
The exhibition will be on view throughout May, and this year it will be accompanied by two special clay-focused events, offering visitors additional ways to connect with the work, the makers, and the Rain City Clay community.
We hope this annual exhibition continues to grow as a shared tradition—bringing together clay, community, and good drinks year after year.
