Join a class with a fabulous instructor or work at your own pace through independent study. Our 10–11 week sessional classes are open to anyone 15 and older, from complete beginners to those looking to expand their clay skills. Each session includes generous practice hours in our studio so you can reinforce what you learn.
Projects are limited to 15” in any direction. We encourage consistent attendance—sessions move quickly, and there are no make-up classes. However, you can always use your practice time to connect with classmates and instructors to build on what you have learned.
All participants use Clay Q&A, our online communication hub for kiln schedules, asking questions, studio events, deadlines, resources, and community Q&A.

Your booking fee is required up front and is non-refundable. Your booking includes an in-person tour of the studio, demonstrations on pottery throwing basics, and an instructor who will guide the group. RCC will fire 1 creation per participant with a single glaze of your choice from our studio selection.
The first 30 minutes will be focused on a studio tour, getting settled, and demonstrations on throwing a cup and a bowl on the wheel. The instructor will come around to each individual for one on one help and provide tips during the event. The last 15 minutes will be dedicated to cleanup time. You’re welcome to bring beverages and snacks for the team event (alcoholic or non). Please limit your alcohol selection to beer or wine. Please bring any cups, plates, napkins, or utensils you might want.
* EXTRA Large Groups: 20-30 Participants
This additional fee will include 2 instructors for the event. Only 16 people can work on the wheel at a time, and we will have a handbuilding project set up at the table for folks to make a cup or a bowl. Your group can rotate midway for everyone to try both processes, or mingle and snack while others try it out!
Community Spaces
We’re a community studio, and we strive to offer practice time outside of classes for our students in 10 week classes. During your event, the space you reserve is entirely for your group! However, you may see a few students working in the other unbooked space; they may come in to grab items from class cubbies, shelves, and use the sink in the Large Room.
