We’d like you to teach a workshop at Rain City Clay!

Here’s what Rain City Clay can offer:

  • Pay your honorarium for a two-day workshop.

  • Showcase your artwork on our website, newsletter, and social media.

  • Sell your pots/ swag at RCC via your own payment processor with no commission taken.

  • Rain City Clay will cover your airfare into Seattle (SeaTac) and back home of course.
We will book your ticket. We will book the most comfortable/ direct flight that is also an efficient fare cost wise.

  • I'll make you breaky, lunch, & dinner for your two teaching days.
We will follow up for food preferences

  • Deb & Joe will host you in their home in West Seattle.
There is a quiet guest room with a double bed.

General Workshop Scenario:

  • Teach for two days from 9:30am-5:00pm with a 1/2 hour lunch at the studio.

  • RCC provides pugged reclaim clay and will keep your bisque-fired demos for our growing collection on display.

  • We will likely have dinner with staff (out or at Deb’s) or have a student potluck one evening during your visit.

  • Many of our students are beginning/ intermediate. There are community members who are intermediate and advanced. We prefer an all-level workshop or a workshop for those who have taken at least 1-2 ten-week sessions or equivalent. We cannot fill an advanced workshop.

Once we have the information below, we will run a budget for the workshop and see if we can swing it on our end! We love your artwork and are trying to bring in artists who will bring new perspectives and techniques to our student population and staff. We welcome any questions you might have.

Please fill out the form below and help us see if we are a good fit for a workshop host:
