About the Instructor:
Brooke Felix (she/her)
Born in Southern California, Brooke is now a Washington state resident. In 2018 Brooke took a college course in ceramics which started her journey with clay. Now she’s a full-time artist. She shares her knowledge of clay through teaching kids and adults. Her love of sharing comes through as she prepares fun clay topics and projects, hoping that others may enjoy clay just as much as she does.
Brooke explores a fusion of memoryscape, intention, and vision. Adding pops of color with underglaze to pay homage to the urban LA and Seattle skyline, and using an earthy red and raw clay body represents the Arizona desert. By making her vision come to fruition her goal is to have a place when your day begins, from a hot cup of tea to making a breakfast sandwich on a plate.
