Clay Events at Your Location

RCC hosts birthday parties for youth or adults, small group socials, bachlor/ette parties, team-building activities, and more! These are for six or more participants. Bring your own treats and beverages and come have fun with clay and company! Children under 5 years of age must have an adult present for the entirety of the event. Bring your own treats and beverages and come have fun with clay!

The Basics:

When we take clay to your location, we offer experiences with handbuilding. This means pinching, coiling, or slab building with clay. Events are open to all ages. During the event, one adult per 10 children must be present for positive group management. The clay instructor will not be responsible for any childcare or group management outside of clay instruction. For example, a group of 15 children would require two adults to accompany them for the event.

Your booking fee is required up front and is non-refundable. Your booking includes an in-person tour of the studio, demonstrations on pottery throwing basics, and an instructor who will guide the group. RCC will fire 1 creation per participant with a single glaze of your choice from our studio selection.

The first 30 minutes will be focused on a studio tour, getting settled, and demonstrations on throwing a cup and a bowl on the wheel. The instructor will come around to each individual for one on one help and provide tips during the event. The last 15 minutes will be dedicated to cleanup time. You’re welcome to bring beverages and snacks for the team event (alcoholic or non). Please limit your alcohol selection to beer or wine. Please bring any cups, plates, napkins, or utensils you might want.

* 20-30 Participants
This additional fee will include 2 instructors for the event. Only 16 people can work on the wheel at a time, and we will have a handbuilding project set up at the table for folks to make a cup or a bowl. Your group can rotate midway for everyone to try both processes, or mingle and snack while others try it out!

Community Spaces
We’re a community studio, and we strive to offer practice time outside of classes for our students in 10 week classes. During your event, the space you reserve is entirely for your group! However, you may see a few students working in the other unbooked space; they may come in to grab items from class cubbies, shelves, and use the sink in the Large Room.

Scheduling
Please coordinate your group dates and participants. All events must work around our studio classes. Please inquire at least one month in advance for best availability. We only take a few reservations a month. Fill out the form below to begin the scheduling process. Please give us three specific dates and times that you prefer and we will select the one that works best for us. Mon-Thursday evenings are not available for booking due to our weekly sessional classes.

Your booking fee is required up front and is non-refundable. Please double check that the requested date works for all members of your party!

Once a date and time are settled on, we will send you a link to our website for payment.

Pick Up
Finished pottery is to be picked by the team coordinator for the event. We will decide upon a date of pickup at the event, it is usually between 4-6 weeks after the event when the pottery is fully finished. We will contact you when they are ready to be picked up.
