Cozy Comfort: Continuing Wheel
Instructor: Jen Mills
Mon. 12:30-2:30pm
Jan 13th-March 17th
$425 (does not include clay)

Jen will use the nordic idea of ‘hygge’ to center her class projects around. Hygge is often associated with warm lighting and comfortable furnishings. It emphasizes the importance of slowing down, savouring the present moment, and finding joy in simple pleasures. Embrace these ideas as you create luminary for the table, an oil diffuser for the home or set of soup bowls and bread plates. Designed for pottery enthusiasts continuing with clay, this class offers a welcoming environment to explore your creativity and craft beautiful pieces for your kitchen.

About the Instructor:
Instructor: Jen Mills (she/her)

Jen is a West Seattle ceramic artist who makes both functional and installation work. She draws inspiration from the objects we use every day - bowls, cups and vases - to create conversations for the kitchen table and for the home. In her teaching, she delights in the exchange of ideas possible when we are inspired by each other and our surroundings. She has taught ceramics for over 15 years and encourages her students to have fun, bring their outside interests into their work, to think outside the box, to "fail" as much as possible (aka learn and grow) and be open to inspiration.
