Making Waves: Handmade Cups at Jellyfish Brewing Co.
YOU ARE INVITED!
Rain City Clay is facilitating an exhibition at Jellyfish Brewing Company in June of 2025!
This will be our 2nd year putting on the cup show at this location! We would like to formally invite you to participate! Students, members, and staff of RCC & RCS are invited to participate. We are excited that this year there will be two exciting clay events to participate in as well!
We want to display the diversity of work happening in our community. This exhibition will take place during June & July. We hope that this will be a yearly event that continues to grow in the coming years.
Exhibition Dates: Wednesday, June 11th - Sunday, July 6th.
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 14th, 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Celebrate with us!

Hands-On Youth Clay Event
Sunday, June 15th: 2-5pm
Demonstrations by 2 local clay artists!
Saturday, June 28th: 2-5pm
Participation Information
Any type of cup is welcome: We encourage tumblers, cups, or mugs with handles. No sets, please.
Display: Please submit cups that will fit within a 5.5” x 5.5” space.
If your cup does not fit, it will not be displayed.
Each participant may submit 1-10 cups.
Quality matters: This is your time to shine! Please inspect your cups carefully for cracks, chips, sharp bits, glaze flaws, stuck-on kiln wash, and poor handle attachment. We will not display cups that arrive with the above issues. Cups need to be functional to participate in the show.
Drop off your cups:
We are only accepting cups that are dropped off in person.

Buying Cups: This will be a cash-and-carry local show. Cups will not be shipped.

Artist Payment: This will happen via direct deposit using Melio by August 1st. You will be required to offer bank account information to be paid. (Sales will be split: Rain City Clay 35%, Artists receive 65%)
Participation Deadlines / Timeline:
Tuesday, April 22nd - Drop off begins. Participants may begin submitting their participation forms, dropping off cups, and emailing in their completed inventories to info@raincityclay.com. (it helps us to get submissions early!)
Friday, May 9th by 9pm - Hard & FINAL drop-off deadline. Participation forms and inventory forms must be submitted and emailed by this date!
Wednesday, June 11th - Show is installed at Jellyfish Brewing Co. & Show is open to the public
Saturday June 14th from 5-7pm - Opening Reception!
Sunday, June 15th - Hands-On Youth Clay Event Time TBD
Saturday, June 28th 2-5pm - Demonstrations by 2 local clay artists!
Sunday, July 6th - Final day of the show!
Monday, July 7th - Staff takes down the show.
Wednesday, July 9th - Wednesday, July 23rd. - Pick up unsold cups at RCC
By Friday, August 1st - Payments will go out via Melio using the banking information provided
Inventory Details
Inventories and participation forms must be submitted by time of cup drop off, and we ask that you please check in with an RCC staff person to confirm drop off and pickup before and after the show.
Download the inventory form below and fill it out according to the instructions on the document. Please save the form as a .xlsx Excel document and email it to info@raincityclay.com before you drop off your cups. Fill out the form in Excel, Sheets, Numbers, etc.
Inventory Sticker Details
ALL CUPS MUST BE FOR SALE
Each cup must be at least $25
Each cup *** MUST INCLUDE *** Two stickers
~ 1st sticker = First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name
~ 2nd sticker = inventory number & price.
Inventory number must include 3 initials (ex: HHR001, HHR002, etc)
**If you do not have a middle initial, use your first name initial as your middle initial
(ex: Hayley Reed, HHR)
Use stickers intended for pricing work. NO post-it notes taped on, No masking tape, please! Recommended stickers: (Click Here)
They do not have to be these exact stickers, just similar in size and quality. The inventory numbers on your cups and your inventory sheet must match!
If your inventory sheets are not accurate, we will not be able to show your artwork.
If the stickers do not stick well, please use clear tape over them.

DROP-OFF/Pick up at Rain City Clay
Drop off cups and submit your participation form, and inventory form Between Tuesday, April 22nd and Friday May, 9th. Drop your cups off in the hallway at Rain City Clay. Check in with the staff person working to confirm your drop off.
The FINAL deadline for dropping off cups and submitting your participation form/inventory is

Read and agree to the artist Consignment Agreement Document and check the agree box in the inventory form below to participate. You must submit your inventory list via the downloadable form below to participate.
Pick up unsold cups at RCC >>> Wednesday, July 9th - Wednesday, July 23rd.
Pick up unsold cups from the RCC hallway. If your cups are not picked up by the date requested, we reserve the right to donate them or absorb them into the studio collection. We will not mail cups back to artists. They must be picked up please. Check in with the staff working to confirm your cups have been picked up.

Firing Service at Rat City Studios for local potters:
Rat City Studios offers a firing service for the local clay community! If you would like to fire your work at RCS please visit the website and read the complete description.
This is a challenging service to manage. Your thorough read-through and completion of each step will aid in our ability to continue to offer firing services to our community.
