In this free 45-minute talk, Deb will share how soda interacts with clay and glaze to create stunning surface effects. Rat City Studios has been offering Cone 6 Soda-Firings for over two years and continues to build a robust community of curious makers. You’ll get an overview of the kiln setup, glaze considerations, and local clay options that work best for this firing method.
We will have multiple examples of ceramics that has been fired in the RCS Kiln named Corona.
