Pints in Pots: An RCC Cups Show at Jellyfish Brewing co.

YOU ARE INVITED!

Rain City Clay is facilitating an exhibition at Jellyfish Brewing Company in May of 2024!

This will be our 1st year putting on the cup show at this location!! Current RCC/ RCS studio artists, students, staff, and visiting artists please join us in this fun event by adding your cup or cups to the showcase.

We want to display the diversity of work happening in our community. This exhibition will take place during the whole month of May. We hope that this will be a yearly event that continues to grow in the coming years.  

Any type of cup is welcome: We encourage tumblers or cups with handles. No sets, please.

Quality matters: This is your time to shine! Please inspect your cups carefully for cracks, chips, sharp bits, glaze flaws, stuck-on kiln wash, and poor handle attachment. We will not display cups that arrive with the above issues. Cups need to be functional to participate in the show.

Display: We have beautiful, handmade gridded shelving that will showcase around 200 cups.
Please send cups that will fit within a 5.5” x 5.5” space.
If your cup does not fit, it will not be displayed.
Each participant may submit 1-15 cups.

Buying Cups: This will be a cash-and-carry show. People may buy works online and take them throughout the month. We will restock with pre-inventoried cups weekly. No more work may be submitted after the final drop-off deadline.

TimeLine:

Exhibition Dates: Thursday, May 7th - Thursday, June 5th.
Reception: May 11th, 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Celebrate with us!

Drop-Off & Inventory:
Between Tuesday, April 9th and Tuesday, April 23rd.
April 23rd by 4:30pm is the final deadline for dropping off cups and submitting your inventory forms.

We are only accepting cups that are dropped off in person.
Do not mail your cups.

Label your box “Jellyfish Cup Show + Your Name (First & Last)” on each side of the box.
Read and agree to the artist Consignment Agreement Document and check the agree box in the inventory form below to participate. You must submit your inventory list via the downloadable form below to participate.

Pick up unsold cups at RCC >>> June 13th-20th 
Pick up unsold cups from RCC kiln pad. If your cups are not picked up by the date requested, we reserve the right to donate them or absorb them into the studio collection. We will not mail cups to artists. They must be picked up please.

Artist Payment: This will happen via direct deposit using Melio by June 30th. You will be required to offer bank account information to be paid. (Sales will be split: Rain City Clay 35%, Artists receive 65%)

Participation Details

ALL CUPS MUST BE FOR SALE
Each cup must be at least $25
Each cup *** MUST INCLUDE *** Two stickers
~ 1st sticker = First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name
~ 2nd sticker = inventory number & price.
Inventory number must include 3 initials (ex: HHR001, HHR002, etc)
**If you do not have a middle initial, use your first name initial as your middle initial
(ex: Hayley Reed, HHR)

Use stickers intended for pricing work. NO post-it notes taped on, No masking tape, please! Recommended stickers: (Click Here)
They do not have to be these exact stickers, just similar in size and quality. The inventory numbers on your cups and your inventory sheet must match!
If your inventory sheets are not accurate, we will not be able to show your artwork.
If the stickers do not stick well, please use clear tape over them.
